Monet Inspired Water Lillies 🌸🎨

In the art class, first and second graders welcomed spring by creating these water lillies inspired in Monet. Na clase de plástica, o alumnado de primeiro e segundo deulle a benvida á primavera creando estes nenúfares inspirados na arte do pintor Monet. 

Romero Britto Inspired PEACE DOVES 🕊🎨

In the Arts class, first and second graders celebrated Peace by creating doves inspired in Romero Britto's art.  

Na clase de plástica, o alumnado de primeiro e segundo celebrou a Paz creando unhas pombas inspiradas na arte de Romero Britto. 

Favourite superheroes 🌟⭐

In Arts, we've been talking about our favourite superheroes with Danish, our language assistant. 

Then, we drew them! 

En plástica, estivemos falando dos nosos superheroes favoritos con Danish, o noso auxiliar de conversa. Logo, debuxámolos! 

Guided Drawing: Gingerbread Houses🍬🤶🎅

 This week,  Danish - our language assistant - showed us how to draw a gingerbread house! 

Esta semana, Danish - o noso auxiliar de conversa - ensinounos como debuxar unha casiña de xenxibre! 

Autumn landscapes 🌊 🌲🌳🌄

 Inspired by the artist Robin Mead, we created our own autumn landscapes! We traced straight and curve lines. We also used cold colours for water (blue, green, purple...) and  warm colours for the trees and the sky (orange, red, brown, yellow...). Here you have a video with our pieces of work!

Haunted Houses

 Following the instructions of Danish, our language assistant,

we have created spooky haunted houses!

Super hero selfies

"Super hero selfies" was our first Art project of the year and this is the result! 

We used different techniques for creating our pieces of work: 

• First of all, we drew our selfie with pencil, traced it with black marker and painted with crayons. 
• Then, we painted a sunset using watercolours. 
• Finally, we created a cityscape using old newspaper pages.
